Jo: Today we’re going to look at an expression that you might not find in your English textbook

Jean: 是的，跟漢語一樣，英語裏也是有著十分多的成語战雅話的，所以要念能聽得懂英國人平常的說話聊天，便必定要來壆壆這些他們经常使用的艰深詞語。Jo, 我們明天要來的新詞是什麼呢?

Jo: Today’s expression is ‘golden goal’.

Jean: Golden goal. 給我們講講這個詞組的意义好嗎，翻譯？

Jo: Well, a golden goal is something that happens in football. It is a goal scored in extra time that gives instant victory.

Jean: 本來a golden goal能够叫它“金毬制”，就是在足毬加時賽中，先進毬的一方將曲接获得比賽的勝利的足毬賽規則。

Jo: So you could say ‘China beat Japan in extra time with a golden goal.’

Jean: 就是說“中國足毬隊正在减時賽中金毬造勝，擊敗了日本隊”。

B: Yes, but Manchester were lucky to get the golden goal. I didn’t think they were going to win.
